Dallas TestimonialsIt was truly a pleasure attending the Women's Business Research conferencein Dallas on Thursday, September 20, 2007.It was a "Shot in the Arm" for me.I had been seeking empowerment, new ideas, "fresh" information, outlets for innovative business practices, etc......
Again, the conference was so enlightening. I came away from it energized and with a renewed sense of excitement about my current business venture.I have a renewed sense of hope that I will truly create that multi-million dollar healthcare conglomerate based upon the business model I created 5 years ago.
I thought there was going to be something different about this forum. I'm glad I was right. Sadly, but honestly, I've avoided minority-focused conferences because it seems to be a day of corporate sponsors smiling and surface presentations. You did in a day what many conferences aren't able to accomplish in three. But it was better because I was with my "sisters"! I walked away with a realistic plan to address three obstacles (a smart idea because who can work on more than three things?) and a new support system. I'm also super proud of having the privilege of participating in this important research. I'm already working on my obstacles and the raised the bar for my accountant so we'll know how we're generating profit and what we need to do to truly grow this business. Thank you for the passion you've put into this work. My sincere thanks to Dr. Thornton who reminded me of the seriousness of the "business" of my company.
